Holding the line in Gridlock Command
Gridlock Command gives you fewer units than you think you need, and that's the whole point. Every skirmish we lost early on was because we spread too thin trying to defend everything at once.
Pick your chokepoints. There are usually one or two spots on each map where enemy convoys have to funnel through, and stacking defense there beats scattering units across the map. Let the low-priority routes go if you have to.
The group-select controls are fiddly on a phone, so we started pre-assigning unit groups before the timer even started. It saved us those panicked seconds when three convoys move at once.
It's a demanding game, but the losses teach you something every time. By our tenth skirmish we were reading the maps instead of just reacting to them, and that's when it got really good.
